<p>The Law for Turnaround Course is a specialist course for those working in the turnaround industry. The course examines the legal issues involved with restructuring financially distressed companies. The course is suitable for professionals working in restructuring or turnaround positions within banks, private equity firms, insolvency firms, accounting and law firms.</p> <p>The course focuses on the legal issues that arise in contract law, corporate law, finance law, taxation law and property law. All of these aspects are relevant for developing a legally effective corporate re-organisation for distressed companies prior to the formal insolvency process. If you are not able to submit your exams response by the set date, a Supplementary Exam will be organised and offered to you for cases of illness, or misadventure.</p> <p>The Supplementary Exam procedure enables successful completion at a later exam date. Failure to attend or submit requirements for completion – either Final Exam, or a Supplementary Exam, will result in a fail for that subject.</p> <p><b>Resitting the course will attract a course fee</b></p> <h3 id="about-the-presenter">About the Presenter</h3> <p><b>Paul Vorbach </b> is an adjunct academic at UTS and a founding director of management education firm, AcademyGlobal Pty Limited (AG).</p> <p>Since its establishment in 2004 AG has conducted corporate training assignments for industrial, government and not-for-profit sector across five continents.</p> <p>Prior to entering management education, Paul spent 15 years in finance and investment industries including senior management roles at Deloitte and Citigroup.
