<p><strong>PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement &amp; Contracting for Local Government</strong></p> <p>This Diploma is delivered across 3 x 3 day virtual workshops. The program is designed to consolidate and enhance participants’ knowledge and expertise in public sector procurement and contracting. With a focus specifically on local government, it will provide participants with the necessary skills to effectively and successfully conduct independent and self-directed work as a procurement and contract manager.</p> <p>Ideal for local government organisations continuing to build capability and integrity in their procurement and contracting arrangements, this qualification is the gold standard for public sector procurement and contracting specialists working across local, state and the Commonwealth Governments. Presentation slides and other digital files can be presented during the training session using the Zoom platform and the student may either focus on these resources or the facilitator.</p> <p>To enable connection, you will require the following set-up:</p> <ul> <li>Sufficient internet connection – Zoom is successful on a 4G network. Any network better than 4G will enhance the student’s experience;</li> <li>A PC with a web-camera, microphone and the capacity to run the Zoom application to allow the facilitator to better interact with students in the same manner as a traditional classroom; and</li> <li>Sufficient sized monitor or screen to support the number of students in the room.</li> <li>This training is delivered through a mixture of presentation, group work, case studies and individual research.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Workshop Dates</strong></p> <ul> <li>Workshop 1: 10-12 August 9am-4pm</li> <li>Workshop 2: 7-9 September 9am-4pm</li> <li>Workshop 3: 12-14 October 9am-4pm</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assessment</strong></p> <p>There is a written assessment for each of the modules above. Assessments will occur both during the course off-the-job and on-the-job through workplace-based projects enabling learners demonstrate competency against the nationally endorsed standards. Completed assessment tasks have to be submitted within 8 weeks of scheduled training day and participants are expected to engage in self-study during this period. You will also complete activities to develop your understanding during class. You will have access to facilitators and staff during this period to assist you in completing your course.</p> <p><strong>Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)</strong></p> <p>All participants shall have access to and can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning on enrolment for all unit(s) of competency in this qualification. In 2019, he was the 2019 CIPS Australasia Winner for both People Development and Risk Mitigation Categories.</p> <p><strong>Vivienne Buss MEM, MBA, BBus &amp; Acc (Hons)</strong></p> <p>Vivienne is a Principal of AcademyGlobal and highly experienced facilitator and consultant, successfully delivering in the areas of procurement, accounting and finance, corporate sustainability and innovation and economics.Vivienne’s early career began in professional services, during which time she worked in audit and in financial consulting engagements at KPMG and Deloitte. Subsequently she broadened her experience into front line roles focusing on financial and business improvements.
