Students are able to begin studying the course now with two modules available in a facilitated online environment</p> <p><strong>Online Modules available now:</strong></p> <p><strong>Module 1: Program Design (Online Facilitated)</strong></p> <ul> <li>TAEDES401 - Design and develop learning programs</li> <li>TAEDES402 - Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Module 2: Language, literacy and numeracy (Online Facilitated)</strong></p> <ul> <li>TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills</li> </ul> <p>Online modules are delivered with a combination of online lecture/tutorials, virtual classroom activities and self-study. Typically online lectures/tutorials are between 1.5 – 4 hrs each and will run once a week during the facilitation period. Refer to the individual module information for specific tutorial times and schedule. Lecture recordings are available for review in the Virtual classroom.</p> <p>The delivery method will combine self-paced, online trainer led learner centred courses, formative assessment activities and learning activities involving small groups and the individual, experiential learning and workplace based projects.</p> <p><strong>Online Course requirements:</strong> • Laptop or desktop with min 4G RAM • Internet access e.g. plan of at least 2-4 gig per month or access to WiFi</p> <p><strong>Face-to-face modules:</strong></p> <p><strong>Module 3: Train the Trainer (Face-to-Face) – Date TBC</strong></p> <ul> <li>TAEDEL401 Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning</li> <li>TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace</li> <li>BSBCMM401 Make a presentation</li> </ul> <p>3 days of continuous face to face training, followed by 1 week gap before the 4th day of training</p> <p><strong>Module 4: Workplace Assessment (Face-to-Face) – Date TBC</strong></p> <ul> <li>TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes</li> <li>TAEASS402 Assess Competence</li> <li>TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation</li> <li>TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools</li> </ul> <p>4 days of continuous face to face training, followed by 2 week gap before the 5th day of training</p> <p><strong>COVID19 update - Face-to-face training postponed</strong></p> <p>In this current environment and with our focus on the safety and wellbeing of our participants, trainers and staff accessUTS has made a conscious decision to postpone all face-to-face courses to a later date in the year which is to be confirmed.</p> <p>COVID19 advice is changing quickly with increased social distancing requirements. We are above all concerned with the safety of our students and will not run any face-to-face training until it is safe.</p> <p>All modules, where possible, are currently being converted to an online blended learning model to allow our students to study their course without the need to come to the UTS campus.</p> <p>Students will have the option to join the online blended learning mode with modules commencing in May and June. accessUTS is committed to providing our students with quality online blended learning experiences to study and complete courses</p> <p>It is recommended that students without VET or training experience undertake the modules in order 1 – 2 – 3 – 4. However, this is not compulsory and you can complete the modules in any order you choose.</p> <p><strong>Entry Requirement</strong></p> <p>Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed industry. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.</p> <p>Learners will be assessed for their suitability prior to commencing training which includes but is not limited to, providing a current curriculum vitae and copies of qualifications held along with other documents suitable as evidence of vocational competency. No further discounts apply.</p> <p><strong>Delivery Methodology</strong></p> <p>The delivery method will combine online ,self-paced, face-to-face trainer led learner centred courses, formative assessment activities and learning activities involving small groups and the individual, experiential learning and workplace based projects.</p> <p><strong>Assessment</strong></p> <p>Assessments will occur both during the course off-the-job and on-the-job through workplace-based projects enabling learners to demonstrate competency against the nationally endorsed standards. accessUTS will hold scheduled Assessment days for candidates who do not have access to a workplace to complete the assessment tasks. Completed assessment tasks have to be submitted within 8 weeks of scheduled training day and participants are expected to engage in self study during this period. You will also complete activities to develop your understanding during class. You will have access to facilitators and staff during this period to assist you in completing your course. A final assessment is due 8 weeks from the last date of delivery.</p> <p><strong>Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)</strong></p> <p>All participants shall have access to and can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning on enrolment for all unit(s) of competency in this qualification. Candidates who consider that they already possess and can demonstrate the competencies outlined in the unit(s) of competency shall be granted credit on substantiation.
