<p>Year round, South Australia plays host to a wide variety of sporting, food and wine and community events from the Santos Tour Down Under to the Adelaide Fringe Festival. People trained in the management of private, corporate and public events will be in greater demand as the event industry expands.</p> <p>The <a href="http://www.uts.edu.au/research-and-teaching/our-research/australian-centre-event-management/acem-courses/executive" target="_blank"> Executive Certificate in Event Management</a> is regarded as the most prestigious short-course in event management amongst prospective employers and industry leaders in government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations. <p>This 4 day short course program is designed to provide a foundation of key skills and knowledge associated with the creation and delivery of various types of events. <p>The Executive Certificate in Event Management has been successfully conducted by the <a href="http://www.uts.edu.au/research-and-teaching/our-research/australian-centre-event-management/about-centre/acem-australian" target="_blank"> Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM) </a>for over 17 years. This course is delivered annually in Singapore, Sydney,Adelaide and Melbourne. In 2017 our program will be presented in Canberra and on the Gold Coast for the first time. <p><b>Who will benefit?</b> <p>The program has been designed to not only enhance the skills and knowledge of those employed in the industry, but also to meet the needs of professionals from other fields. Each student will receive a copy of this text. <p><b>About the presenters:</b> <br>Our course presenters are industry experts who have worked in event management practice and education around the world, in conjunction with carefully selected local event industry experts. <p><b>Dr Rob Harris</b><br> <i>Honorary Director, Australian Centre for Event Management and UTS Business School associate</i> <br>Rob has an international reputation as an event management educator having developed and delivered programs through to Masters level in a variety of locations around the world. He is also serves as a judge for the Australian Event Awards and acts as an assessor for regional event grants for several state governments. <p><b>Meg Bailey</b><br> <i>Director, Event Projects</i> <br>Meg is a Director of Event Projects, a premium events agency, specialling in on-brand event experiences with bespoke appeal - everything from large scale visual spectaculars to highly stylised and intimate dinners. Over the course of her 20-year career in events management and production, Meg has produced events that include Super Bowl Super Swimsuit Parties, Sports Illustrated Olympic Hospitality Lounges and Olympic parties attended by more than 3500 celebrities, royalty and medal-winning athletes at four consecutive Olympic Games. <p><b>Jade Whiteley</b> <br><i>Operations Director, Brand Events Australia</i> <br>Jade is a Sydney-based event creator, producer and consultant with extensive experience across a broad range of event genres including festivals, corporate events, gala dinners, major awards ceremonies and community events. For the past four years Jade has held the role of Operations Director for IMG Culinary, delivering nationwide festivals including Taste of Sydney, Taste of Melbourne, Taste of Perth and Margaret River Gourmet Escape.</p> <p>The course presenters have over 60 years combined experience in event management practice and education around the world.
