<p>R Programming - Stage 3 is the advanced R Programming one (1) day short course for those who have completed R Programming – Stage 1 and or 2 and or those who already use R Programming and consider themselves having an above average working knowledge of R Programming.<br></p> <p><b> Who will benefit?</b><p> This program is particularly useful for (audience) <ul><li> Students beginning a research program that requires data analysis and programming skills <li>Researchers & Academics who wish to explore modern statistical languages <li>Industry Practitioners who wish to process data using R.</ul> <p><b> Program topics:</b><br></p> <ul> <li> R and Distributed Computing <li>Advanced Sub setting <li>Debugging <li>A Guide to Style <li>Profiling for Performance <li>Object-oriented Programming <li>Using functions <li>Package development </ul> <p><b> Course outcomes:</b><br> Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:</p> <ul><li> Process large amounts of data <li>Begin developing your own packages <li>Track down bugs and look for performance improvements in your code</ul><p> <p><b> About the presenter:</b> Sam Ferguson is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has used R in many of his approximately 45 publications in areas as diverse as spatial hearing and loudness research, to sonification, emotion, and tangible computing. He has 10 years’ experience teaching technical topics, and has taught numerous programming languages at both the postgraduate and undergraduate level.
